Punctures - Are they repairable

I picked up a nail in the rear tyre whilst out in the sunshine today. Is this repairable or will I have to buy a new tyre.

They are repairable,as long as they are in the center of the tread,ie not in the sidewall,or near the edge.I think there are still limits as to what type of hole they can repair even then.I've had repairs done on runabouts before,but i personally don't fancy it on such a high performance car.Good for a spare though.

Providing the hole isn't too big and there aren't any broken cords then it should be ok, I had a repair in the rear or the Griff and was fine even on track days.

Keep an eye on the tyre to make sure if doesn't start to go out of shape after it's been done.
