Could good come from the bad news at TVR ?

I was chatting with a mate this morning about TVR and low volume sports car manufacturing market. It takes around £20m to get a new vehicle to market and TVR could spend time getting proto-types built which would get attention of the press but can they reach production? Spending time re-structuring the business, making press announcements, looking at new markets, power boats, jet ski's etc, etc. are they focussed on getting TVR's into production? Comments that an Italian built car could hit the road in March is great... can it be done?

If Peter Wheeler did not sell the rights to produce the old cars perhaps another entrepeneur could start a new Blackpool operation under a different name. How about building a re-engineered Griff with a US V8 under the bonnet! I reckon the market would love that.
