Annoying gremlin !!!

Guys Ive got a gemlin that wont seem to go away!! The old girl is very jerky at slow speeds in 1 st and 2 nd under 3000 rpm especially in town traffic ...she's fine above 3000 rpm any ideas????

To elaborate on that, the stepper motor may be clogged up a little. Its an easy part to remove and clean. It can be found under the bonnet not far from the windscreen.

You need to remove it and clean it up with white spirit or similar. They get carbon deposits building up on them.

Its possible that this is the issue.

Is the engine in original spec or has it been modified (tuned by one of the “ experts” ? Mine was smooth as a smooth thing until the “experts” raided my wallet and made the car very ragged and shunty at low rpm.

If its cat equipped (you didnt say) it may be a lambda sensor.They dont do anything after 3k revs(or therabouts).

Take it to a friendly MOT station and get them to do an emissions check.

Hi guys sorry for the late reply had to the M1 car park again!!!
Its not been modded and it is a cat, however ive just picked it up from the garage and emissions where fine ! will give the stepper a clean and see if that works ! cheers guys
