Confused, Tyre help PLEASE

I have done a search but that didnt help. just got a new pair of 245/45/16 SO2s for the back but I also need some new boots for the front, cant get 205/55/15 Z rated Bridgestones so what do I put on ?? can I settle for V rated ?? do I get toyos ?? will they be ok with SO2s behind them?? should I change tyre size say 215/50 225/50-45 ? (94 500 no ps) what do you run ??

I need to get em sorted next week cus its a long way to the big smoke and I bet it will be raining. Any advise would be great,Thanks

The only Z rated fronts (which my insurers insisted I had) I could find for my chim (same size as yours) were Dunlop SP9000.

I'm surprised you found any SO2s to be honest as they've been like hen's teeth for a few years now.

only had them on for about 300 miles but so far no problems at all - better in the wet than the SO3's they replaced

SP9000's are fine. Check the date on the SO2's as tyres have a 5 ish year life, after which you should replace. If anyone wants originality then your risking your life for the priviledge.

Yes Ant we hope to go on sunday meeting Gandalf and a few others at Hopwood to go down M40 how about you ?? Sorry about the ebay thing I bought em in a bit of a panic, cant get a pair to match the front so I may stick em back on ebay and buy a set of 4 9000s or pilots. mis listed ?? I think they would get more attention if listed under TVR.

They were on my watch list too, was concerned over the guys lack of feedback as I,ve been burnt before by nil / low rated eBayers. I e-mailed him for a cash collection and heard nothing so decided to do nothing.

Sounds expensive. Try www.mytyres.co.uk and bank on £10-£12 for fitting.

Drive it harder and you'll get through them quicker.
