Anyone you know been famous for 5 mins :

Here's James in his 5.5 Griff being shown by some
FWD machinery that if you don't use lurid oversteer that you can get round a circuit much quicker.

Hard to believe that an MG Maestro is quicker than a Griff

Can you imagine the the onboard computer voice saying slow down..

Superior Aerodynamics, is the answer. Leyland were decades ahead in their slipstream designes.

nice one James, he's done an ace job on that car (with help from Rob and V8D ) and he does like to use it too!

sadly, I believe its up for sale ATM...due to a new business opportunity. Great chance for someone to get a great Griff.

Umm... you guys arn't seriously suggesting that the FWD Maestro turbo nutty wagon was quicker than James's Griff - even in full on sideways mode James was keeping up with or getting held up by (as he figured out what he was doing) a Maestro with 440bhp and cut slicks (I believe) and race suspension on a very tight track (granted when he spun it that kind of buggered things but that's not the point is it ).

The cars were pretty close on laptimes I think James was quicker but it was close on best laptime for each (PPC chap had a stop watch), but James couldn't really use full throttle anywhere and the Maestro had SERIOUS turbo lag issues.

I was there on the day (yes I'm biased I went with James) and thought some more pics might make this a better thread.
