PreCat suspension Vs Griff 500

Now I know that the Pre Cats had a different suspension set up to the 500s, which essentialy had the same set up as Chims. The Pre Cats having Konis, stiffer springs, and no rear ARB and the 500s having a RARB and Bilsteins.
What I am wondering is how do the set ups compare for driving? I know the Konis were a lot stiffer, but was it mainly a comfort issue?
I've used Konis on a number of my cars, and although a PITA to adjust have always found them to be a good ride.

Pre-cats had adjustable shocks/springs ? 
Adjust Konis, a right PITA! Find a way to get the spring off, poke out rubber measure turns, run around the block, do 50 starjumps etc.
Basically I have the Griff 500 setup on my car (they have been on there since the car was new) and a probably a little tired. Only 37, 000 miles on them, but I have the original Konis and springs in a box, almost brand new and looking very good save for dust. Seeing as I am currently "sans job" I was considering switching them next time it is dry. I was out in thenick's Chim and it just felt a little more solid than mine, even though it had done more miles.

Cheers mate. Bloke I was working with gave me 4 days notice "I can't pay you for December, so don't come in." Bad time for it Christmas and all, but the break is nice. Have a few things in the pipeline.
Griff is going to get a much deseved rest and a bit of a spruce up, shocks, seals, chassis and a general going over. Plus it saves on petrol.
