Indicator diode location

Anyone got any idea where these are located? What do they look like/colour wire they may be attached to?
The hazards work but not the indicators so I don't think earthing is the issue. The car is a 92 with part 98 loom so could be either pre cat or 500 format.

On my 93 Chim there is an aux relay panel under the dash, which houses the flasher relays and the diode is wired close to the relays (@8" leads & taped to harness). I would suspect it is close to your flasher relays wherever they are?

On mine !! open the glovebox and peer behind the dash. You will a small board with the flasher and hazard relay, to the left are the two diodes, black in colour and shaped like a fat discs. Good luck old boy, you are going to need to trace that fault !

David - so there are 2 additional relays, one for the hazards and one for the indicators? If so will replace relay first.
Car is 80 miles away so can't go out to check - remote diagnostics.

Tape a BMW badge on the bonnet and don't bother with the indicators Paul

Not 100% but IIRC flasher unit, 2 x relay Left/Right for hazards.

Is there 1 diode or 2. If 2 and 1 goes would that mean both indicators won't work?
Going to look at this week as MOT duie early Feb.

Might mean something to someone but not me. Just wanted to know if one went would both indictors not work. The hazards still work. I've cleaned the earth at the front end as precaution but didn't think it'd be that anyway.
