Right - the diode has gone and the indicators don't work - it has blown up. It is behind the fuseboard and on the main feed from the ignition. Maplins can't supply a replacement from the information on it (yes, they have actually seen it in the shop & it was the manager). Does anyone know the value and rating (apologies if these aren't the correct terms) as my MOT is due in less than 2 weeks!!!!
It is pretty big according to my indie who is on the case.
Hoping this will solve the problem.
Any electronics wizzes out there?????
Thanks in advance guys.

Job done. Spoke with David Beer and wattage = voltage x current. At 84W and 12v so the ampage = 7. Min 7a needed.
Going to get one now.

Try Farnells I always find them to have more than Maplins. You can go upto the next available size I would have thought.

Just to add to this thread, the diodes required are as follows,

Farnell have the originals but only whats in stock as it is discontinued

http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp...

Maplin have discontinued them but have a silicone alternitive with the same specs, I went for the P600D which is over spec but works perfectly.

http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ITAG=SPEC&...

I will give the Maplin ones a go as I happen to be in Cardiff xmas shopping!
