New Griff - anybody know previous owner?

Hi all,
Apologies for the most mundane of first posts on this forum, however I've just bought (or at least paid the deposit on) my first TVR - and being the sensible type... bought a Griffith!!
I've looked at a few over the past few weeks (and just missed out on seeing Lordgrover's) and decided that this one was the car to have. Only thing is, I've bought it from a dealer who took it in as a p/x and would like to contact the previous owner about the stereo. The car was previously advertised privately on Pistonheads and I was wondering if anybody knew the ex-owner's login name, assuming they're a member that is?

Any help much appreciated. I live in Cheltenham so may well see some of you at Interpro on the 28th or at the Puesdown Inn meet, with or without the Griff depending on when I'm able to pick her up.

My only (slight) issue is with the reflection of the sun in the dash, which causes near-blindness when it catches you!!! That's something I can live with though, and at least I don't have any concerns about it splitting... Hopefully I'll be able to pick her up in time for Interpro, if not then I'll probably be there in the vRS unless the GF veto's the day ahead of becoming a TVR widow?
I'd intended to buy a 4.3 (love the sound) but couldn't turn down the improved interior etc of the 500 in this case. I'd be interested to hear a 500 with the Cherry Bomb conversion in real life, that would probably make life complete! Do you know if any of the cars attending have had it done?

Or maybe you could 'dull' it up with wire wool?(done nicely this could look really good). Hopefully someone will have a cherry bomb at the RR day,i've never heard one,but what i have heard is a straight through pipe with pre-cats removed,and that sounded absolutely gorgeous

You made the right choice!
And its good to hear that there's another Griff in the Cheltenham area 
Look forward to meeting you at one of the TVRc3c www.tvrcc-c3c.co.uk meets, although my Griff won't come out of winter hibernation until at least 1 March - all that crud and cr*p on the roads in the winter months

I found that wearing polarised sunglasses
removes the glare completely. Thanks for all the replies guys, I look forward to meeting some of you soon. Can hardly wait to pick her up now as the poor girl is heading for her second week outside, and in weather like this too 
!! Hopefully the dealer has moved her inside as I asked otherwise I imagine my first job will be drying the carpets... lets hope for more weather like this morning so I can do just that

Seem to remember it was a DR (hence plate...) from Newcastle. Nice colour! Welcome to the fold!

Thanks for that, the previous owner is a doctor from Northumberland and I do know his name but I didn't want to broadcast his name across the web if he had a username on Pistonheads.
If I still need to contact him I suppose his address will be on the V5 when it comes back. Perhaps I'll see you at an event soon as I see you're from the Bristol area?

I think we met yesterday at the Bristol TVRCC meet... You were pulling mighty donuts in the service station?
Dunno if you care, but whoever designed your website has spelt Wotton 'Wootton' on your contact page.

I'm planning on coming down to the RR day although it looks likely that I won't collect the Griff til Monday - another whole week of waiting!! Lets hope the snow holds off....
Hmmm, Bristol meets on the 3rd Sunday, 3C3 meets on the 4th... I'd better pre-warn my TVR widow (sorry, GF) in advance!
