Starter Motor Maintenance

Eyup,

While I've got the starter motor off I've cleaned it up and I'm going to paint it.
There's nothing wrong with it and TBH if it does go wrong its a bugger all job to swap it so I'm not going to refurb or swap it but I just wondered if there's anywhere I should grease it (or not) just to give it a helping hand for a few years to come.
By the way, its a Magneti Marelli M78R with the date 35-92 so I guess its the original!

I`ve been thinking about doing something myself with the startermotor, perhaps you may want to try it, but I was thinking of using the silverfoil sticky backed tape you can buy on a roll 2" wide, and wrapping some around the motor body and solenoid to see if it helps to reflect some of the heat given off from the manifolds, don`t know how effective this would be, but considering the cost of a starter motor, and the price of a roll of tape, it may prolong the life of it a bit.

I`ll probably get some flack now, but who cares
