5 Spoke wheel centres

Swapped my OZ split rims for 5 spokes today but need to find some centres. There's a set on Ebay at the moment for a chim - 60mm diam. Has anyone any idea if these will fit or if the Griff 5 spokes are unique?

Nope I've tried all from eBay and canvassed all my local wheel shops and nothing. Nada. I'm only missing one, but they don't seem availble. I've tried most avenues. I'm considering getting some moulded up an then getting stikers off eBay for them, but I've yet to get a quote on them. I hae a feeling it will probably be the same price as getting my wheels refurbished.

I bought a set of four centre badges off ebay for my Griff 500. They are 60mm which is to large to fit in the recess on the centre cap. They need to be 58mm diameter. It's a pity because they a good quality. If I can generate enough interest in them he may be prepared to make some 58mm.

I think Simon is referring to the Aixa 5 spokes fitted to Pre Cats only, rather than the Estorils.

Result - I've just found a set of centre caps that came with my wheels. I had removed them a few weeks ago when I started the refurbishing. Now I know how difficult they are to get I'll need to come up with a sure fire way of keeping them on. - what a plonker..

Yes they were for the pre-cat 5 spokes

Hi,
I'm looking at getting a set of 5 spokes refurbished. If you don't mind I wondered who you used. Did you go for a polished finish, or painted?

Hi Steve

I refurbished them myself. They weren't in bad condition to start with & I had a quote of £225 to essentially re-paint them.

I'd go for painted as opposed to diamond cut. Any polished and lacquered finish will deteriorate very quickly once water or air gets underneath.

If you have access to a small compressor and gun I would budget about £70 to refurb your wheels & the resuts are surprisingly good. You would also have sufficient primer / paint etc to give them another 3 or 4 spruce ups as and when needed. If you don't have a compressor and gun you could buy one and still be ceaper than having a professional refurb
