Bonnet holder - bit with hole in and pull down piece
Discussion
This is the bit that you slide back to get the bonnet off. It has a hole which the bonnet fits into and a piece which you slide back which keep tyhe bonnet from popping out. One of mine has broken (side piece at the top)so I want to replace both sides.
Assume these'll be easy to find? Not.

I found a posting about that some time ago:
"The bonnet catch assembly for a griff, the one bolted to the body just below the windscreen, is from a MK 1 or MK 2 Ford Fiesta from 1978 - 1988. The part number is 77FB-16700AF. It costs £18.40 including VAT from any Ford dealer."
I have no idea if this is correct.

Fred - Got one of those in the box to fit - not high on the list through.
Ian - They're the boys. Yours is nearly as rusty as mine.
Steve - If you have 2 i'll have them. I'll drop you an e-mail.
