What colour is my Griff?

Body Code is P422-4YJ9B. The original handbook shows the colour as S/M/BLUE, is this starmist blue? The painter says his book shows P422-4YJ8B and says this is chianti blue. Any help will be greatfully accepted, John.

Chianti as the name would suggest (A deep red wine producing grape ) is a very dark red almost black from a distance.
I have never heard it used in conection with a blue colour before imho

When I wanted a bit of paint for the S the local body shop entered the paint code into their paint machine and it came out a perfect match.

I know its hard to say with different lighting etc buti reckon yours is more blue than that Chianti one IMHO.

It's going to be difficult to spot the colour from a picture I think. Sorry to be a party pooper chaps.

are the same car (mine, Sapphire Blue) but I'm not sure you'd know it from those pictures.

My car is "birkdale" green, that is the only one I have seen sith that color name, is there anybody elese who has that color? does anybody know from which mainstream car brand it comes from, it looks very nice.

Yes they are both metallics. Cooper green has a finer fleck than starmist or to put it another way, Starmist Green is more metallic! Cooper Green is a Rover colour. My old S3c was cooper green.
