Heater rubbish

Hi there I have a 4 litre pre-cat Griff and while I know the heater was never good due to a lack of air throughput it now doesn't even seem to get very warm. In the past once the car was up to temp it would blow warm air when you wanted cool air. In the winter it used to provide quite hot air, there just wasn't much of it!!

I'd welcome thoughts on what could be the issue.

If your water stat is faulty(stuck open) your heater will be very cold, if you have a 72 degree water stat you will have around 72. I have a nice hot heater although you need to get the fan switching sorted first.

Have you made sure the valve is opening and closing when you press the hot/cold button and that its aligned correctly?

Its easy to check and test.

That's all about adding in another fresh air blower. First thing (as has been said) is to check that the control for the servo motor is turning the hot/cold water valve correctly. By teh sound of it, if it used ot be ok but now simply blows cold air it may jst be the grub screw in the valve shaft that has worked loose.
