Happy ending - Serpentine Oil Pump Priming

Well after a week of worry, I finally plucked up the courage to refit my sparkplugs and fuel pump relay and after checking anything else that I could check (except probably the screenwash!) I crossed my fingers and fired up my Griff.....

The result? Well the oil warning light went straight out , and the engine sounded fine , and then very slowly the oil pressure gauge climbed to a nice normal pressure , !! And then I realised that if I didn't get the car out of the garage pronto I'd keel over and die before it!

Thankfully once warmed up everything seemed fine. I'm now getting about 25PSI when idling and about 40-45PSI with some revs on... I can't see that this is much different to that before my imaginary "oil starve incident"...

All in all a rather embarrasing week for me! I'll invest the money saved on the "imaginary rebuild" on some paranoia therapy or something

To celebrate I went for a good strop round the Cotswolds and the Malverns. Thanks for everybody that helped /advised! When I meet any of you I'm prepared for a ribbing about all this... at least it ended with a !
