help flat battery

Currently in the cab of the very nice man from the AA!

Being relayed home to Cambridge from derby! At least it saves me on petrol!

Battery is so flat that the imobiliser won't switch off, so car won't jump start even with the AAs power station!

Anyone know how to reset it?

Will disconnecting the battery and ercharging it in situ reset the alarm?

Your help is, as always, much appreciated!

Not an expert on this but when my Meta in a 98 car has got confused disconnecting, reconnecting the power and then setting and un setting the alarm it has sorted it out.

Just had similar problem over xmas.... alarms going off every few secs whilst trying to jump start.

When I connected fully charged battery everything sorted its self magically.

Reconnecting a semi-charged battery did appear to reset the alarm system, but unfortunately another more serious problem emerged - leaking water from the engine block!!! - hopefully just the water pump gasket.

Car been towed to Offords for surgery!
