OZ split rims - key to dismount the wheel disc

I am looking for the key ("clamping sleeve" ?) to (un)screw the mountting bolts on the wheel disc in order to reburbish the OZ split rims.

Unfortunalty the OZ representative has no "key" anymore in order to dismount the rim.

If they are the same key section as the five spoke versions on the 400se then L33 posted an excellent thread on making your own key bolt - followed it and it certainly worked for mine.

Unfortunately Hexham Horseless Carriage did have a key for unlocking the OZ wheels but unfortunately they lent it to somebody and it was never returned....

Tony Abrams suggests that I try a company that specialises in re-furbishing wheels as they might have the correct key.

Any idea ?

Hi Griff - do you have a picture of the wheel nut cover and more specifically the lock section?

I am just thinking if it is the same as the Oz 5 spoke fitted unit to the 400se, then I could send you my bolt head that I made - worth a try if nothing else.

It seems that I need two unlocking keys, one for the outside of the rim, one for the inside ?

Griff - if the centre lock is the same arrangement as the one on the five spokes then its a single key (bolt really) with a circular shaft about an inch long but with an off set protruding pin to the bolt end - once the lock is removed, you will see it is simply a threaded bolt with a larger dished head of, I think, brass construction with an off centre inset recess to accept the key pin - if that makes any sence.

To avoid any misunderstanding, I am looking for the (2?) 10 points sockets in order to dismantle the wheel, not only the center cap.

Gordon - PXWHEELS.COM - has unfortunately no dismantling key, the refurbishment of this OZ split rim wheel being subcontracted.

Argghhh that key..... Tower View used to have a key which they used to hire out (so I have heard/read) ..... Not Sure if they still have it though.
