door speakers

Has anyone got thease in their Griff? I have a good set of Alpine componants but 165mm will not fit the door moulding. Not so bothered about the sound just need to fill the hole in the door as one speaker was missing when I bought it.

I have a set of pioneer (I think) 16cm coaxials in mine at the moment. They're about to be replaced with Infinity components, but now you've made me worry they might not fit!!

You can get 16.5 in, you just enlarge the hole away from the arm bit, if you know what i mean. Use a "flappy sander" on a drill, bit messy though.

I could with a little enlarging get the Alpine drive units in but there is no way the grills will go on, the radius of the door trim is all wrong.

I managed to get 170mm Focals in the front of mine and grills aswell.They are tighter than tight around the front moulding.
