It had a Speed Six fitted at the end so it's all plumbed for the Speed 6 - who would want a Speed Six Griffith? Why ruin a great car.
It should be put back to how it was when Top Gear (Tiffany Dell) tested it - that was a nice piece of road-testing TV - none of this mucking around in tractors or caravans in those days. Best quote from that TG roadtest was 'This is not a car for wimps!'
It would be easier and cheaper just to get a ringer and transfer the chassis number and registration.

Wait until you've taken the drills / grinders / saws to your inner wing ~ you may find a new courage within
(sometimes its better not to get familiar with these 'drastic' procedures 
one thing leads to another...) I would guess it was dry sumped - thats the oil tank, Ian.

I have one of the other press cars (J524MHG) and although complete when I got it from TVR it was in a similar state as this one....and it took 2 years, a new chassis, and virtually everything else replaced with new, down to the last nut & bolt. Not an easy project, especially as nothing lined up on the new chassis

Heres hoping L110 is as enthusiasticly restored. IF thers a slight premium in these cars then I reckon they are worth it IMHO. Cant believe Al's yellow one hasnt been snapped up yet.

I was thinking the same, I have a spare space in my garage about Griff size, would be interesting to rebuild with speed 6
