What size brake disc?

hi everyone ,can any1 tell me what size brake disc, are on atvr 500 griff 1993, thinking of getting a pair for the front but don,t know what size to order any help would be great many thanks paul

TVR suppliers shold tell you. Maybe TVRparts (online). I think they are dia 260mm, but you need the right offset etc.

thanks i will give them a ring first thing tomorrow i,ll have to get myself a bible when one comes about .i am looking for apair of crossed drilled and groved disc,s for the front of my griff thanks ,paul

While you are at it, go for an upgrade: 4-pot with 283 mm disks. Available at e.g. Austec, Tower View, HiSpec.

if i do that can i keep the standard wheels as i don,t want to end up spending more money than needed

yep, 283mm upgrade is especially designed for the standard front wheels

You can always fit granada cosworth calipers with sierra cosworth discs?

Its an easy upgrade and not too expensive, it gives you the 283mm fronts that the car needs.

Hmm... sounds interesting as my disks are bit ratty... jusy how easy is it ? Plug and play, or do I need some "technical skills" cos I'm a bit rubbish when it gets a bit tricky with the spanner work ?

Be a bit careful fitting the four pot (willwood) and bigger discs. I did mine (Griff 500)and the caliper snagged the inside of the wheel, right at the bottom of the caliper and where the inside wheel rim has a shoulder. Talking to Tower View, it seems Willwood has got a new casting - a bit longer. Tower assured me there is lots of spare ally. I ended up grinding a few mm off the bottom of the capliper (Tower View promised it would be OK), and it was. But .... not sure I enjoyed it. It was also different on each side of the car - one side (can't now remember which) the caliper sat a little bit more outboard, so was worse. However, stops nicely now! Other than that, was quite a straight forward fit. Tower are good with helpful advice. Whilst at it, fit braided hoses too.
