headlight pods

About to reassemble mine but as I didnt pull them apart not so sure what sealed the perspex to the pod. The remains of one looked like it was black foam tape but the other seemed to be sikaflex. Any help out there guys? John.

doublesided black foam tape , approx 5mm thick , I found some on the web when i did mine but have not got site details anymore . Did around the edges after assembled with a smear of sikaflex just to make sure 100% sealed .

Alternatively, you can use sikaflex or similar to form the seal. I would think most are sealed this way. I used a black automotive sealer, the name of which I can't remember, as sikaflex is very "sticky" and I was a little concerned I may never get the pod and fairing apart again. Not a job I look forward to repeating mind you!

Did you not consider installing a pair of Sportmotive's 7" SE pods and headlights? I am having some installed as part of the respray.
