Picking up my Griff next week

Well after several abortive attempts to get my hand on a griff since last year I've finally done it and I think it will be worth the wait.

Only have the pics from the ad at the moment



1996 griff 500 (the chim wheels are apparently the originals spec'd by the original owner)

Had Rob Ingleby inspect it and he was very impressed with it said he was tempted to keep it himself.

Have to change my name now as the car isn't blue and it's not an S2.

Picking it up a week on Saturday - the wait will be agony.

Nice! May I compound your agony by saying the sun is shining and my Griff is sitting outside with the roof off, waiting for me to drive it home (the long way!)

Ahhhhh - the weather has been perfect for TVR motoring recently. Having sold the S last year it's been agonising trying to find a replacement..

I'm hoping to get them down to the next PH meet at VW as my eldest loves the Elise and she would love to sit in one. I've tried my best to educate her properly about cars and explained that, while the Elise is OK, TVRs are the best.

Still don't think they'll be happy with a weekend in at Rockingham as a substitute for 2 weeks in Greece.

It will be a real shame though as the car is up in Yorkshire so I've got a weekend up north and then a nice long drive home to Brackenll all planned.

I live in Sandhurst,so I might see you around. Mine is Ruby as well. Hope you enjoy your Griff. I got mine in December and I love it.

Well after a long weekend in Harrogate I'm back hom with the Griff......

What a lovely car and Jon at Specialist and Sportscars in Boroughbridge where I picked it up from is a top bloke. Car beautifully prepared and ready for me half a tank of petrol and some advice about some nice Yorkshire roads to drive on.

Drive back on the motorway was nothing to write home about but the car performed faultlessly.

Have had a chance to drive a bit round some roads I know this afternoon with the top down and that lovely exhaust note it's fantastic.
