It is planned I will keep it forever too, I have a 41 years old Grantura too, and and Elise S1, all are supposed to be there till I still can drive
When I bought the Elise new in 2001, I already wanted a Griffith for years, but second hand price was still high and I was not yet in position to have budget to service correctly a "big" car. When I saw about 2 years ago Griffith price starting to fall, I knew it was going to be for soon. At the current price, I don't see anything better to buy, and for anyone thinking to keep it long, there is in addition probably no more depreciation to plan.

I've had the odd moment when I've thought about selling over the past 6 years, typically after a £2k service! Nothing really comes close though - looks, soundtrack, performance. There's a good bunch of people that own them too!

- upgrade the brakes
- fit rollbar
- fit new wheels
- Tuscan headlamp upgrade (keeping the cowling cover though)
- dropping the chassis for a complete clean,POR-ing and fettle 2008/9
- respray in 2008/9

Then , who knows....

Just survived financing the new house without having to sell, though the misses insists that we could finance a damn good kitchen and bathroom by still offering it up now. If I get through that, then no it's not going anywhere, ever...Well, maybe to one of my boys when they're old enough (in about 40 years!).
