Suggestions for paint for the wheel arches

I'm looking for some matt black paint for the Griff wheel arches. Ideally it should be waterproof, resist stone chips and not dry "sticky"

Any suggestions?

POR15 is great on wheelarches & inside engine bay.

Inside the undertray... it seals the f/g from any moisture damage into the bargain. Goes a long,long way on these surfaces as well compared to on the chassis.

Which POR15 were you thinking of? The standard rust prevention stuff (that's not UV resistant) or the black chassis paint?

The black chassis paint has better brain melting fumes so the TV programmes on Saturday evening start to become good... Now has anyone seen my technicolour floor? It keeps moving about.

Thats the one.

My wheelarches only catch as much Uv as the chassis was my reckoning, have you planned something different? Te POR15 seems to stick well and crud washes off great. Mines done 3 years now with no signs of problems, must do the rears this year..

BTW I would do this to all the underbody if my body was off.

Not planning to have the car upside down any time soon. The UV thing was just a convenient parameter to tell the various POR15 products apart.

Father-in-law has offered me some black epoxy pitch. It should do the job - and I don't have to mail order it.

I've just used the propriety Satin Black aerosols in the past; may not be very water inhibiting but, gives the right appearance.

I did think to line the arches with some old Roofing Felt I had left over from last years shed repair, then grouting the edges. My neighbour suggested rendering the area with 3 to 1 sand/cement mix with a splash of elasticizer thrown in for body flex. Looks @rse but impregnable!
