Finally after 8 weeks I am going to get me car back from the rear end shunt... I am a happy man this evening, but have been turned over by the RAC whom I am insured with.
They collected the car a few day after the shunt, and promised that they would return it too me when the work had been completed. They are now telling me I have to make the trip myself etc... only a verbal agreement etc so nothing in writing and our claims 'handler' who made the agreement with both myself and informed John at Ewelme that this would happen now denies it !!! but unfortunatly I live in a world where a verbal agreement still means something, it seems like not many others do unfortunatly. Had I known this at the time I would have had the work carried out at my local garage at Offards instead of at Ewelme Coachworks down near Oxford 80 odd miles away.
I feel like putting in a claim to the RAC for my time and having to get extra staff in to cove while I am away etc, but know deep down that it wont make a blind bit of difference... and also informing the 3rd parties insurance that it took the RAC 2 weeks to get an engineer out to look at the damage and approve the works while I was riding around in a hire car costing them £108 a day, I am sure they would not be too happy about that... anyways rant over will post some before and after pics when I get her back if your interested.
