Cooper Avon ZR tyres...

Anybody used them? If so do you have any feedback??

Im looking at changing my wheels and these are an option for the rubber...

Had Avon ZZ1 (think it was 1) when we bought the Griff and they were abysmal to say the least.
What sizes are you looking at? Can you not buy the wheel and put your own tyres on??

Dunno how they'd perform on your monster - maybe they'd appreciate some rough handling.
I've used the ZZ1s on my old Beemer - they weren't great. I also had ZZ3s on my Audi - bloody awful - even worse in the wet.

Agree about the wet. They offered no grip at all - took them off and binned them almost immediately.

No experience of Avon's on TVR's but every car I have driven with Avon rubber on has been the same experience as the other posts.

They were known as "Avon hedgeseekers" on Scoobynet many years ago.

I had avon zz1 on my first griff, they did stick at all, took the car on 4 trackdays and 6000 miles and they still looked like new.
You could put 3500 revs on the clock wheel spin away for about 20-30 feeet and would not leave a mark on the road. When i went to change them the bloke at the tyre place say all the taxi drivers ues ZZ1 's as they dont wear out (great on a taxi but not what your looking for) hope this helps !!
