Alternative airfilter with right size griffith 500 lhd?

good evening / morning to you all enthusiasts,

New griffith 500 '95 owner from holland with airfilter question (first post).
Very happy with the car the looks, sound, feeling everything about the car is great and so is yr smile behind the steeringwheel its true!

At the moment the car is running with the pipercross greasy airfilter in nose on top of the radiator.
I'm looking for an alternative airfilter (cleaner one).
K&N supplies a couple of universal cone filters with the right specs (horsepower)
but not the right size (bottom to big to place in nose 15cm),lenght ok 30cm and top of the filter 11cm ok (filtertype RE - 0880?).
The later cars have an airbox in nose i've read,but i want to keep the 'old' set up
also because the lhd cars have the plenum hose at the other side of the car in enginebay etc. and where do i place an airbox etc.
A lot of words,sorry,but is there an alternative good airfilter that will fit the car?

You can clean the PiperX you know....

For K&N have a look at the ACT website, Tim Lamont is very helpful.

Another vote for the K&N supplied by Tim Lamont at ACT - first class job.
You should go for the ACT induction kit in full.
