Footwell carpet origami

Everytime I pull the passenger footwell carpet apart to check or change a fuse or relay, I can never put the thing back together again properly. I then end up with the guts of the electrics spilled out all over the place for the rest of the year, until the Griff goes in for its annual service.

I don't suppose anyone has knocked up a guide on how to do this properly have they? Where, and in what order, do you stuff the ecu, cables relays etc on top of the battery and which bit of carpet goes where in what order?

next time I'm at the dealer I'm going with a digital camera to record the secrets!
