wet feet

i went out in my griff last night in the wet and after a few mins driving i started to feel water dripping on my right foot,my passanger also reported the same soggy foot syndrome is this the norm or do i have a special one!

Normal if mine's anything to go by... There's plenty of opportunity for leaks under the bonnet - Look at the holes for wires & cables to go through the bulkhead and the clutch reservoir cover.

Suggest you renew the sealant round the clutch fluid reservoir, seal round the VIN plate, seal all things that pass through the bulkhead, and finally put some sealant on the pop rivets that hold the windscreen/bonnet hinge assembly to the bodywork (only really accessible from under the dash). If in doubt, dob it on!!!

one worrying thin about this fault is that all the electrics are in the n/s footwell

You may need to look at the wiper motor etc. Do a search here and on TVRCC about leaky Griffs. I went through all this as a new owner and it took a bit of sorting out, but I have a dry Griff now.

Every thing and I mean every thing that goes through both the inner wings under the bonnet needs to be sealed. Even if it looks OK, if your getting leaks then remove, clean and reseal.

Don’t forget under the inlet hose from AFM to Plenum there is an access panel to the back of the fuse board.

I use ordinary black silicone sealant from B&Q its cheap and easy to get hold of and it works.
