Tyres - specific question.

I don't want to start another tyre debate.

Has anyone fitted 195/55R15 front tyres? If so, how are/were they?
I'm not being (deliberately) rude but I don't care if you're happy with your 215/50R15, 205/50R15, 205/55R15, etc. - I want to know about 195/55R15, preferably on a non-PAS pre-cat.

Sorry - couldnt resist the temptation
If you go down that route make sure your insurance company is ok with fitting a narrower tyre ( could save some complications at a later date!)Looking on www.e-tyres.co.uk the Dunlop sp9000s were cheaper in 205/55/15 than 195/55/15 anyway.
It might be worth talking to a couple of suppliers about T1-S's.Someone might have an odd one somewhere.Or two places might have an odd one making a pair.Try Southwest tyres in Clevedon. They deal direct with Toyo .Happy hunting!!!

The front tyres do the majority of the braking.
Vauxhall (and Lotus with the mark II Elise) fitted narrower tyres on the VX220 to encourage understeer.
The 205's on the non-PAS cars are already 20mm (?) narrower than on the PAS cars.
But I haven't fitted them, so I'll let you draw your own conclusion!
