I admit due to winter storage over the years and low mileage the brakes need an overhaul, however was wondering if there is a sensible front caliper only improvement that doesnt require a re-balance.

I have always felt the rears too prominent in braking (possibly due to bum coming up and weight transfer!) - also they are a bit press and prey (non 500 brakes)

Would prefer to fit braided flexes + improved front caliper only + new pads and fluid all round + rear caliper service

I.e. fitting 500 front calipers only? - same rotors and mounts?

Have reviewed articles, however cannot see reference to the bottom end of upgrades - pricing is very important as currently a Carer / not working.

If you have the 240 mm discs you can upgrade to 260 mm discs and calipers of a Griffith 500. It's a fairly cheap upgrade, sets like these are often advertised on PH. Throw in some quality discs and pads and it's a major upgrade over the standard 240 mm set. I did this three years ago, no more fading on trackdays with the 260 mm set. After some serious saving i bought myself a Spiderconversion including Tuscan 4 pot calipers and 308 mm discs, AWESOME braking.

Assuming you have 240 mm discs, no, 500 calipers are bigger and need 260 mm discs. You may already have the 260 mm discs, measure them up first.
