Dashboard air vents

Chaps,

I have had a big trawl through the forums, but just need a quick answer to the following.

I can get plenty of air flowing through the windscreen vents, but nowt through the face level vents in the dash even though when I turn the knob, I can hear the servo 'whirring'.

Any suggestions on what to look for and where to find it?

you need to get a look behind the dash where no doubt the crappy plastic hoses have fallen off. For a starter you can gain some access by removing the glove box (2 hex bolts in each back corner) and the radio but ultimately it's easier just to get the wooden part of the dash out. Not very difficult (I did it in a French service station once!) but be careful not to crack it.

Did you check all three vents for air flow?
The right hand drivers vent on a lot of later cars is independantly fed fresh cold air via the fan switch by you right knee.
