A firm started to make them a few years ago but stopped due to lack of interest. They looked pretty sharp too.

I'll second that Jay... Crying shame such a brill iniative fell by the wayside.. Cost no more than a few shiny engine bits - but no interest confused Still think if he had a made a removable targa panel it would have been more popular tho..

I wonder if they will consider making them again if there was interest (I for one would be).

They probably still have the moulds?

Actually I think the main reason they didn't sell was because they were not styled very well being compromised by the use of flat glass for the rear window and the rather unfortunate triangular
side windows.

If they were to develop them a bit further to sort out the styling I would buy one.

I think that would be the key for me: even in winter provided its not raining too much I drive sans roof. If it is wild and wet there still might be the chance of dropping the roof if the rain stopped (with our changeable weather) which you would lose if you had a fixed roof. imho

Think thats a good pint, looked a bit like 70's SL hard top, maybe somthing that looked like a Tuscan roof (with a lift out centre section maybe)could be a good way forward

Thats actually quite an interesting point... A proper glass removable rear screen & retention of the std roof panel would be a real winner in my book. Maybe you would need a colour coded panel ~ but I dont think I would mind that anyway. Bit of clever bracketry to sandwich the panel at the back is all thats needed..

Dave
PS didnt even mention a split roof panel?

I also think the hard top option involved removing the existing soft top which is a real bugger to do (mine all the bolts will not budge)......

I could be wrong

Hi Steve hows that Griff, have you got it back yet?

you are right The roof was a complete change, can be hard if them bolts are corroded and they can be arkward to get to.
