Griff With Gills
Discussion
My Griff started life as a 4.0, but three years ago I ugraded to a 5.0l and more recently had the engine Taraka-ised by TVR Power. But, I've had horrendous cooling problems when stationary because I just couldn't get enough air through the rad. The solution was to put a couple of grilles in the bonnet (see pic on profile) and the results are amazing. Not only does the engine no longer overhead, the straightline stability is dramatically improved because they bleed high pressure air from under the bonnet into the low pressure area above the bonnet - thus reducing front axle lift.
