Snapped my throttle cable this evening. Is it TVR part or from another car? Got home on 2000 rpm, mega torque on these cars!

I bought one of these a while back:

I think it is TVR specific.

I was told it is a Land Rover part - try Discovery V8 or Range Rover Classic V8 parts.

Got one from Clever Trevor, fantastic service and very reasonable postage unlike one parts supplier I wont mention ! (not TVR Car Parts, they are great too but were out of stock) Anyway, I have got the engine end fitted, is there a trick to getting the white nylon tube into the rubber grommet just behind the peddle, had a hell a job getting the old one out too. Also how does the cable attach to the peddle? I can see the small metal sleeve in front of the ball on the end of the cable but can’t seem to remove it, does the cable pass through a slot in the top of the pedal? Any advice appreciated.

Top of pedal arm has a split, the metal sleeve can be a swine to remove as sometimes they are glued in. I find it easiest to remove the pedal pivot then you can drop it to the floor and work in it, spread the split in the pedal arm with a flat blade screwdriver and that will release any glue and the sleeve will come out no problem.
