I'm not 100% on the engine bay being satin black,however I think it highlights a nice clean engine.
Ive got a chance to paint it the same as the exterior when it goes back for cut and polish but where it butts up to the bonnet hinges for example, even with fresh silicone may look a bit naff as the factory made a hack job or the cut outs for these.
Help me decide please,after the engine and heatshielding in, it's all over rover.

Yes keep it black - looks more purposeful and easier to touch up if you accidently scratch it when carrying out any maintenance around the engine bay

I'd have it painted body colour under there.

Satin black in available from Halfords or the like

I've just changed my engine bay on my SEAC to black - as it has the big benefit that if you change the external colour - that you don't have to change the engine bay colour too..

Touch-ups are easier too..
