TVR Griffiths - Question

Just out of interest, what makes the Griffith a special car that it demands such a high value compared to other TVR's such as the Chimera etc

Am I missing something?!

Simply because it is the purest shape created since the E-Type.

Griffs are rare, only 1760 were made. Whereas 3500+ chimps were made of which very few are 500's. Also the Griff got all the press hype and design awards.

Best looking and performing british sports car ever produced IMHO, it's a modern version of the Austin Healey 3000.

Just think of it like the spitfire and the Hurricane... the griff/spitfire gets all the attention but the chimaera/hurricane were more numerous and did all the hard work


money difference is purely down to rarity i think....
