Griff 500 water pump
Discussion
I need a repalcement water pump for my Griff 500 (pre-serp). I don,nt wish to spend silly money at the dealers on what is a Rover Vitesse part. I appreciate there are a few different types: Rimmer Bros call it type 2C on their ebay shop site and the Unipart Number GWP 2149 has been quoted. Rimmers are out of stock. My unipart stockist tells me the number GWP 2149 is deleted as is a repalacemt number, GWP 2874.
Although this topic as been started before, (include also the Chimp Forum), it as never been bottomed (-please don,nt recommend ebay...) -can anyone help with a Quinton Hazell or some such other number, (or / and a phone number to order the part), please.

Thank you Spend and Daddy: Finally got a pump via Paddock (Land Rover/ Range Rover parts people In Matlock, Derbyshire) - recall now that they were very good when I had a Range Rover - a few years back. Another outfit on Ebay by the name of 'Classic-carparts' offered to provide me with a replacement pump - (they too, were extremely helpful and enthusiastic).

Got one at the local motor factors, next day availability - once I established that any SD1 V8 pump will do the job. I could,nt get the Vitesse type (as originally fitted) so took the earlier V8 (non Vitesse) item and hacksawed off the extended nose on this type - all the other dimensions/ bolting criteria are the same.

I did exactly the same - still left me with a "nose" slightly longer than original but I don't see a problem with that.
Cheers, Neil
