Lately, when on the move my Griff is sitting at around 62 degrees on the gauge. When stood still or in traffic, it will increase to 80-90 and the fans cut in and out as they should. As a consequence, my fuel economy is crap as the ECU is enriching the mixture and I'm concerned about bore wash.
Is this likely to be the thermostat sticking open? Makes a change from all of the threads on overheating I guess!

Could well be a duff stat, failing partially opening is a very common failure mode.
