Experienced/Vintage Griffers, please be aware;
Me, and probably other newcomers, will be asking many noddy questions - please be patient with me/us. A few questions you are likely to be asked:
§ Yours sounds nice - what have you done to your zorst?
§ That looks good - where did you get it and how much did it cost?
§ That's very shiny - did it take long and how did you do it?
§ Where's the beer tent and/or toilets?
Please be prepared.

We are going to have another meeting rolleyes with the hotel in a couple of weeks to try and get the beer prices reduced. Last year they did do jugs for a tenner which was better than before.

The other options which I could not condone are to pop next door to The White Horse for a pint or - and I really cant say too strongly how naughty this would be - bring your own!! hehe

The biggest problem I have is people being very friendly and saying 'Hi' and then me thinking that "I should know you" and then asking Paul/Andrea (the FFGs) - "Who was that?"

It would be great if we could have a very easy way of identofying each other without looking slightly demented. I put name badges in each welcome pack last year but no ne used them...

Why not get a T Shirt printed with your name in 6 inch letters across it hehe

Who's in charge of the weather for this event?

I'd just like to make it clear: We want excellent, warm, sunny weather please.

Happy Birthday Ian.

You'll find it an excellent weekend and no issue on the beer drinking - most Griff owners like a drink. We finished the barrel of Growler last year by around 9.30!

Seriously on te identification front if you can do a sheet with your name, PH/TVRCC name, some details about the car and a contact number if anyone wants to speak with you then this will be very helpful. There are a lot of people who know each other but the same or more that don't - I've been involved with the Growl every year and although I do know a lot of you there are a lot I don't, maybe i've spoken to you but doesn't mean I know your names.
I'll be the drunk one wondering around aimlessly.
Weather is out of my control but it can't get much worse - it is hammering down here in Redditch.

If anyone wants a sheet I've got one I created a couple of years ago with the TVR model timeline on the bottom. If I can figure out how I'll put a screenshot of it up here.
Its an Excel file so you'll need that to change it and put your own car data in.
PM me and I'll email you a copy.

certainly mate, and I'll leave the photo on just for you biggrin

So let me get this right then, we all put bits of paper in our car to say how great it is and whats been done to it, and we put our names on said sheet so everyone knows who the proud owner is so they can talk to us.
BUT HOW THE CHUFF IS ANYONE SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHO 'JEFFSY' ACTUALLY IS ?!

Oh god, you're not thinking of bearing your hairy fat arse all day so people recognise you I hope hurl

I am getting slightly worried we won't have the Griff back in time, I know it's 3 weeks away, but it's already been in the garage for 2 weeks, with no sign of a diagnosis. Fingers crossed we don't have to come to the growl griffless. smile
