The piece that I mean is the bit that sits at the top of the driver's door above the door catch, where it meets the base of the window.

It has either fallen off on the garage floor or I have put it somewhere for safe keeping while the door is being fixed and forgotten where!

In the likelehood of me not finding it, where can I get one FAST! The new owners are supposed to be picking the car up this weekend.

Any help appreciated as always.

It's this bit:

There was a thread for this and it looks like it's a bit you can't get anymore. Scrapyard trip I think.

Was it Frosts or maybe Woolies (not Woolworths!) selling a rubber mould kit for replicating parts that no longer are available??

Maybe make a batch and sell a few on here.

I've just seen a product that might help in that process.

http://www.beedspeed.com/plastex/intro.htm

Nothing in my Woolies catalogue that looks like that.

Edited to add

However you were right Frosts do
http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=8...

What a fantastic site that is.... I could spend loads.

Is the bit he's missing handed, 'cos if it is he'd have a problem replication a bit that's missing.

I bought some of these not too long ago from Peninsula, about £3something each from memory. They are handed by the way,and when you get them they will almost certainly need trimming to fit!

I'll give them a call in the morning. I would hate to think I lost the sale because of a piece of rubber trim 2" square but stranger things have happened!

I'd worry more about that crack in the fibreglass beneath it.

You missed the original post ... slight accident with the garage wall! that is all fixed, just lost the bloody rubber bit.

Also having a nightmare matching the paint!

Will do thanks ... er you're not Roger Argent by any chance are you? It's just that Roger Argent was the owner before last of the car and I spoke to him only last night about the paint code smile

Peninsular seem to have come up trumps thumbup :fingerscrossed:

They have just ordered one (where from I have no idea but they obviously have a secret source somewhere) and it will hopefully be in early next week.

However, as the cost is negligible, I would still prefer it if anyone has one that I could get hold of today/tomorrow. I will gladly pay for both if it means I can let the car go to it's new owners this weekend!

How are these rubbers fixed?
My drivers door one is loose.
Are they just stuck on and if so, whats the best thing to stick them with? All I can see is mastic.
