Boot release failure

My boot lock fails to release when I press the dashboard button.
Where is the boot lock solenoid and/or any additional line fuse located ?

Check for 12v at the switch (its easy to coax out) first.

You can stick 12v to the solenoid wiring to check it - taped up behind the no. plate / carpet (I assume by the editing you have got into the boot). Dont forget to ensure the ground is good also.
