Wanted urgently-can you help please?
Discussion
Hi all,i'm searching for a front crossmember for my griff, and have drawn a blank
.I need the unboltable one at the front, which sits across the chassis, directly behind the exhause downpipe. It needs to be for an early 500,ie pre-serp and without a chassis number.
The one i have is an 'experimental' one for the time when they had the S6 engine in the car,and this no longer fits with the AJP
.
If anyone can help i would very much appreciate it,and of course have cash waiting.
I will of course post this in the classifieds also, but i'm hoping for more luck on here,as not everyone reads the ads of course.
Cheers,Mike

Wont you have more chance of a used one Mike? I'd have thought bit of weld and grinding should make the face ready for stamping again. Nothing to do with my past experience of ringing obviously

Only early cars had the chassis no. stamped on them dave, just pre-cats really.I never expected to get a new one, used is fine

If it was me, I would make one ( or get it made by a welder ) to get the car on the road, then you have plenty of time to find one you really want at a later date
Thats what i'll have to do if i cant find an original in time. Its just still worth hanging out for an original at the mo.Cheers,MikeGassing Station | Griffith | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
