Hi all,

Took my 95N Griff (serpentine) out for some dry air on Sunday the first for days, and noted whilst doing the usual underbonnet checks that the little disc was missing from the top centre of the brake fluid reservoir cap allowing the plunger device inside to rise up. Does anyone know if the disc can be got separately or do I need to get a complete new cap and from where?

Also my dissy vac advance pipe was hanging loose (it has always been connected before) and the rubber end connector that sleeves onto the vac unit had split I guess from old age.Where can I get one or do I need to get a whole unit? Any help or advice much appreciated and where I can obtain these.I'm near Swindon Wilts.

Thanks

John

The vacuum hose just pushes on at both ends. Some cars have rubber hose that runs the whole length, some have a smaller hard plastic tube with a short length of rubber hose at the end to push on. Sounds as if you have the latter. All you need is a short bit of hose the right diameter, you can buy short lengths of hose in various sizes from most motor factors for an extortionate price i.e. a quid or so will get you a couple of feet which will be enough to replace the whole thing, or just cut an inch off the end if you prefer to keep the rest of it as it is.
