For £279 they look like a bloomin good alternative to going down the 7" LE pod route. Has anyone fitted them and if so are they as much of an improvement as I imagine they would be?

Also how do they fare come MOT time, I thought HID's had to be self levelling.

If you search on here for HID topics the legalities have been widely discussed and it's a grey area but more than likely they are illegal if plod wants to be awkward.

That said I've fitted them in my driving lights as a compromise because believe me those buggers are BRIGHT cool and I wasn't going to risk being pulled. I fitted Halfrauds 50% brighter lights in the headlights and they are an improvement but not as much as claimed, say 25 - 30%.

I got my HIDs from ebay and a bit of patience meant I got my set for just short of £70 and they are exactly the same as the expensive kits. Because of the simplicity of the Griff wiring they don't need any extra relays and actually pull less power than the standard lights. (H4 is the bulb you want by the way)

Search for "Xenon Hid Conversion Kit" on ebay as you need the full kit with ballasts not just bulbs, some good prices >£70 on there at the moment if you search (I got mine from Hong Kong and they arrived within the week)
