Hi Folks,

Question about the Growl, forgive ignorance. The posts I have seen to date suggest the Growl is an all weekend activity, can I ask if its poor form to turn up to part of it ? I'm new to owning a Griff and the Growl seems like a great opportunity to see what others have done to theirs and perhaps get some feedback on the state of the one I have bought. If it is ok, can anyone advise perhaps when over the weekend would be a good time ?

Cheers

Andy.

Andy,
Possibly a bit late to advise on your purchase but you can pop along whenever you want - no charge and no need to book.
You can make a longer weekend of it by joining us for the curry (Fri night), the BBQ (Sat night) or just stay over and enjoy the atmosphere. Curry, BBQ and hotel all need to be booked in advance.

Thanks for that FFG. I would love to come for the weekend but having only just bought the griff I need to spend some quality time with the family to avoid any backlash, hopefully next year wink

Saturday seems to be the most popular day of the two, probably because a lot of people are staying overnight on Sat so they are in no rush to get away. I was still in the car park yakking away at 7pm last year and we'd been there all day!

If you decide to come on Sunday I'd recommend you get there no later than lunchtime or you will miss some of the people who have the longer journeys.

Yep , Saturday would be favourite but well worth staying over for at least one night.

You could score some brownie points by showing the missus what a friendly and welcoming bunch we are and that you got sooooo much more than just a car smile

Its lucky I'm a man easily able to resist enticement and distraction from my family obligations....oh no that's right, that's someone else. I can see this Griff thing is gonna be trouble biggrin

On this occasion however I wouldn't want to inflict my 10 month old on the party as she is one of the few things officially louder than the Griff, and I suspect the travel arrangements for the three of us would doubtless be a bit tricksy.

Look forward to meeting some of you guys and gals though at some point over the Growl. Cheers.

Get a babysitter if poss and enjoy a weekend/night away together. That would earn you some brownie points smile

...and after 10 months your missus and you could probably do with a night off?
