found the horn in the nose cone, undone the screws holding in the mesh so I could get my arm up in side, shredded arm on fiber glass and mesh.... gave up.

how do i remove the mesh without wrecking it or removing the radiator....

or is it more simple then this

MOT due this week as well so pressure is on.

there is one wire connected at the back...... i assume the other connection is wireless by touching the mounting bit for the steering wheel

yes

Mine has an air horn, although it does sound like Noddys car (hence my Le Mans moniker of Scooter Hooter) and the compressor makes more noise than the horn!

Is this a mod by a previous owner or do they all have them?
It's been very well installed if it is.

sometimes the sprung pin on the steering column, which contacts the brass ring on the back of the steering boss wears and ceases to make contact with the boss. I fixed this by soldering a short length of brass tub to the pin.

but as for how do you get the mesh off? I don't know - mine's held on by 7 or 9 self-tap hex head bolts; it's pretty self evident. I guess there'll be variation between cars though. I can't imagine it's glassed in.

Cleaned dirty brass ring and now got my horn back :-)
As for the mesh mines held in place by 4 screws and appears to be wedged in at rear and as its bigger then the hole this would suggest removal from the top ie remove rad . . But i don't need to do that so it's not an issue : hehe :

Well, I'd lose my horn if I had a dirty ring wink
