Cutting out when cold

Quick one Grifters,

Last couple of days, Griff starts, is really lumpy then dies, starts OK, then dies, problem slowly irons and goes away once upto temp.

Steeper motor was cleaned at last service (May, before Zolder), so may rule that out, but it may be duffed anyway.

Any other suggestions?

Either disconnect earth lead on battery, leave fopr 30 seconds and refit, or disconnect the ECU for around same time.
Make sure you've got the alarm blipper as it will set when you reconnect battery.
After that I'm clueless.
