My windscreen seal is coming away from the glass.

No scratch that, it isn't attached to the glass at all along the leading edge. So, as you approach 70ish it lifts off the screen, flutters in the breeze and causes a lot of noise.

What stuff is used to stick it in place?

Sikaflex. Have a search for headlight pod because I used the same for my windscreen seal as I used for the headlight pod.
You'll need a sharp chisel to remove the old sealant but be careful with it so you don't damage the glass or the steel frame.

Can you put my name on one of them please Topsparks, without the gun.
what's the shelf life like on this stuff providing its unopened and what's it like once its opened.
The Sikaflex is actually pretty good once opened. I cover the end of the nozzle with cling film and it keeps. Even if its not covered very well it just creates a solid plug in the nozzle and when that's removed its fine.
Is this the same?

Should be the same for this stuff, the ones I have in stock are in date to March 08,but will be usable long after that.I have orded 2 more boxes just in case.Their web site is www.soudal.com if you need any more info, product soudaflex 40fc.They also do some some trade wipes called Swipes, which are fantastic as they remove wet sealant, came in very handy when I was siliconing my kitchen as I always get it everywhere!,they are £5.87inc for tub of 80.

Hello topsparks,
My headlight pods are falling out of the car - I'll happily take a tube off you at the Growl if you can take one along for me, please!
Many thanks,
Ruari

James,
Can you put me down for 2 tubes please, sorry only just seen this, didn't realise there was silicon up for grabs.
I hate it - more on me than anywhere hence the 2 tubes.
