Hi all, I've got the classic problem of the heater temperature control motor constantly circling anticlockwise. It's happened before but cured itself after a few minutes, now however it doesn't seem to want to stop?

I've done a search and read the old posts but must be a complete thicko because I cannot for the life of me seem to be able to identify the pots on the motor that control the end points of its rotation or work out how to fix the problem?

If somebody could point me in the right direction at Chimfest or the Growl it'd be a great help. At the moment I've just pulled the fuse at Lordgrover's suggestion but it's not the best long-term fix.

Any help gratefully received.

CAN PAY WITH beer IF IT HELPS! biggrin

This is usually a simple problem to fix. The pot has probably dropped out of the servo motor gearbox, or a wire has been pulled off it.

Either way, it's not too much bother to fix - so have a word at the Growl and I'll see what I can do...

If you need to replace the pot it's a 10k linear RS part no. 463-5149 (curtesy of Mr Beer).
